These media-filled, interactive resources aim to help support students in years 4-10 to become informed and confident consumers.

Introduction to Consumer protection school resources

These resources for years 4–10, consisting of teaching and learning plans and interactive case scenarios, aim to equip students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to be informed and confident consumers. At each level the resources explore consumer protection within a different context. The plan for years 4–6 focuses on toys and games, years 7–8 focuses on mobile phones, while the plan for students in years 9 –10 focuses on consumer protection laws in both national and global settings.

Years 4–6 resources

Teaching and learning plan to support your students in years 4-6 to become informed and confident consumers. Students will explore their role, rights and responsibilities as a consumer.

Years 7–8 resources

Teaching and learning plan to support your students in years 7-8 to become informed and confident consumers. Students will examine and describe the factors that influence people’s purchasing decisions. 

Years 9–10 resources
